Overnight and continued rain has scrubbed health warnings and burning bans in a 15-kilometre zone around Duncan, provincial agents said Wednesday.

The environment ministry and Island Health ended their air-quality advisory that was in effect Monday and Tuesday.

Open burning may now be done without a permit, or ministry approval, if the fire follows the Open Burning Smoke Control Regulation, Environment Management Act, and any local (municipal, regional) restrictions, the ministry's release reads.
