Police investigating indecent exposure

Nanaimo RCMP hope the public can help identify a man who exposed himself to a woman in central Nanaimo Thursday.

The incident happened shortly before 6 p.m. when the woman was walking her dog near Caledonia Avenue and Rosehill Street.

The man walked up from behind, passed her and when he got in front of the woman he pulled his pants down far enough to fully expose his penis.

When the woman screamed, the man crossed the street and walked off.

The suspect is described as Caucasian in his 40s with black, scraggly hair.

He was wearing black Carhart-brand work pants, a burgundy long-sleeve waffle shirt and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information about this individual is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.nanaimocrimestoppers.com.
