Xbox bought online smelled of marijuana
TERRACE RCMP responded to approximately 112 calls for service from July 2, 8 a.m. till July 5, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there were 17 people lodged in Terrace Cells – 12 of these people were lodged for public intoxication. One of these people was a Kitimat prisoner.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
Vandalism to the Alpine House Motel. A window pane was broken sometime between July 1st, 11 a.m. and July 2nd, 8 a.m.
Two vehicle seats and a center console were located on the trail beside Walmart. Console was light brown in color and the seats were a darker brown. Police requested the assistance of Terrace Public Works.
A purse containing prescription medication and cash was left in the women's washroom at Chances Casino. When the owner returned for her purse, it was gone.
A woman picked up a 17-year-old female hitchhiker on Hwy 16 near Prince Rupert. The woman noticed that her wallet was stolen shortly after letting the hitchhiker out in Terrace at Copperside Foods on Hwy 16 east. She returned to Copperside Foods and confronted the hitchhiker, who denied having the wallet but was in possession of the woman's ID. The hitchhiker returned the ID then left. Police conducted checks of the area. The hitchhiker had left two cell phones behind in the woman's vehicle. Under investigation.
Domestic assault. A woman was bleeding from her eye as the result of an assault. A 46-year-old man was arrested and released on an undertaking with conditions. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Break and enter to a garage on Sparks St. A Martin acoustic guitar, a Yamaha mixer, 2 silver fishing reels, and various fishing tackle were stolen.
Police observed a woman walking with a man on Emerson Dr. Police conducted checks and the woman had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Police arrested the 33-year-old woman. An amount of marijuana was seized from her person.
A black and grey 18-speed Raleigh bike was found near a home on Churchill Dr.
Two ATVs were stolen from a front yard on McNeil St. sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m on July 3rd. The first ATV is described as yellow/brown camouflage pattern 2008 Fiovanni 110cc. The second ATV is white/grey camouflage pattern 2007 Giovanni 110cc.
Theft from an unlocked grey 2011 Ford truck parked on Soucie Ave. Four Leatherman multi-tools and cash were stolen.
Assist Thornhill Fire Department with a structure fire. The fire originated from the wiring of a marijuana grow. Police confirmed that the man had a legal licence to grow and possess marijuana.
A woman purchased an Xbox from a man off of Facebook. The Xbox was missing the power cord and controllers and smelled of marijuana. Police spoke with the woman about safety precautions of purchasing items off of Facebook and other similar means.
Group of youth checking for unlocked vehicles in the area of Kulspai Cr./Queensway Dr. Police located the group who denied the allegations. The smell of marijuana was detected. A 17-year-old boy was arrested and an amount of marihuana and drug paraphernalia were seized. He was released to his parent.
Airport security seized a stun gun from a 31-year-old man's checked luggage at the airport.
A man threatened a man with a knife in a dispute over a purchased item. Police arrested a 52-year-old man and released him on an undertaking with conditions. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Break and enter to a residence on Larch Ave. on July 4th sometime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. A window's locking mechanism was broken to gain access. A black leather Harley Davidson jacket, an Olympus VR320 silver digital camera were stolen.
