Drug house busted in Castlegar
Castlegar RCMP seized marijuana and cocaine from a home on the 300-block of Castlegar's 3rd Street last weekend.
Police had been monitoring drug activity at the home for six months before executing a search warrant that allowed them to enter the home on the evening of Saturday, March 2.
In addition to the illicit drugs, officers also seized some prescription medication, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Two Castlegar residents were arrested in the home — a 40 year old woman and a 36 year old male. Both were known to police. The man was later release without charges.
The woman is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking. She was released Sunday with a number of conditions, including that she's not to possess any cell phone or digital device.
She'll appear in Castlegar four on April 10 to answer to her charges.
