Truck backs into hydro pole in Abbotsford

Traffic was slowed for about 45 minutes this afternoon in the area of Mt. Lehman Road and Fraser Highway after a semi truck backed into a hydro support pole.
The incident took place just before 4:30 p.m. on Old Yale Road west of Mt. Lehman and south of Fraser Highway. The road in the industrial area was closed to traffic while BC Hydro crews were on the scene to move the pole out of the way.
Nobody was hurt, and power was out only while crews were on the scene.
The incident slowed traffic along Mt. Lehman Road, where truck traffic had to park in the median until Old Yale Road was re-opened.
Abbotsford Police also attended the scene to block the road and redirect traffic.
