Westsyde teen breaks leg after being hit by bus
A 13-year-old Westsyde secondary student was scheduled to undergo surgery on Friday night (March 1) after being hit by a transit bus.
Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Edward Preto said the boy was trying to cross Westsyde Road at McArthur Avenue after school and was not in a crosswalk when he was hit.
The boy suffered a broken leg and was taken to Royal Inland Hospital.
Preto said preliminary investigation indicates the boy stepped into he street without noticing the southbound bus.
