White Rock RCMP will deliver a few surprises Thursday, as part of an effort to encourage drivers to help prevent auto crime.

Const. Janelle Shoihet and community policing volunteers will be placing Valentine’s Day ‘tickets’ on windshields of parked cars throughout the city.

There are two versions of the cards  – one commends motorists for taking steps to lock their vehicles and stow their valuables, the other gently chides them for neglecting to take such steps.
