Police Briefs - Knife fight over before it starts
When in doubt, use a bigger club.
A scuffle between two men outside of the 7-11 in Trail Monday afternoon led one man to pull a knife, prompting the other to get a “bigger” knife.
Around 4 p.m. RCMP were called to a fight outside of the store where two males, one in his late teens and the other in his late 20’s, got into a scuffle and then the first one allegedly pulled a knife.
A friend of the first suspect then convinced his friend to leave just prior to police arrival.
The second suspect was arrested and later released on court documents, said RCMP Sgt. Rob Hawton.
“There were no injuries,” he said.
“The parties who left have been identified and police are requesting anyone who witnessed the incident to call Trail & Greater District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.”
