More construction to make way for Evergreen Line

Traffic on Pinetree Way in Coquitlam may be a bit more congested for the next month to make way for Evergreen Line pre-construction work.
Work has begun on the installation of new underground BC Hydro power lines to power the system when it opens in the summer of 2016. The work includes digging a 1.5 m trench, installing hydro duct banks and resurfacing the road.
Most of the work will take place on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Pinetree Way from Town Centre Boulevard (near the fire hall) to Glen Drive. It should take about one month to complete.
