'Targeted' shooting in Chilliwack, RCMP say
Shots fired in the Cleveland Avenue and Fletcher Street area of Chilliwack early Thursday morning was likely a targeted shooting, Chilliwack RCMP officials say.
"There were no serious injuries," Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth said in a news release.
But no other details were being released as the police investigation continues, she said.
Police responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area near downtown Chilliwack at about 3:30 a.m.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Chilliwack RCMP at 604-792-4611 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
