Search continues for snowboarder missing on Cypress Mountain
North Shore Rescue has resumed its search for a 33-year-old snowboard missing since Sunday morning.
The Vancouver man was snowboarding on Cypress Mountain and likely went out of bounds towards the Montizambert Creek area, according to West Van police. Searchers now believe that man is on the west side of Mount Strachan.
Weather conditions have made it difficult for helicopters to search for the missing man. Ground crews located some tracks yesterday that indicate he is on the move.
Last night RCMP Air 2 and a Canadian Forces helicopter joined the search, but so far have been unable to locate the missing man.
Update to follow.
