Man missing from Colony Farm located in Ontario
A man who went missing from the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital at Colony Farm last week was located in Ontario.
Kurt Derksen, 58, was out on a day pass on Dec. 6 to visit his brother in Richmond. Less than a week later, Coquitlam RCMP received a call from Peel Regional Police in Ontario saying they had Derksen in custody.
"We're currently making arrangements for him to be transported back here," said Cpl. Jamie Chung. "It will be up to us to interview him and find out why he left and what transportation he used to make his way all the way out there."
Mounties are alerting the public to a Coquitlam man who breached his curfew on the weekend.
Carlos Edgardo Flores, 29, is under conditions to abide by a 10 p.m.-to-7 a.m. curfew stemming from an ongoing court case being heard at BC Provincial Court in Surrey. Flores is facing charges of sexual interference of a person under 16 and sexual assault.
On Dec. 8, Flores was allowed to be away from his home to look after some personal business. Coquitlam RCMP were called the next day when he couldn't be located.
Flores described as a Hispanic man about 5'10" tall and weighing 205 lb. with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who spots Flores should not approach him but should call 911 immediately. Anyone with information about Flores' whereabouts is asked to call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2012-34480 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
