Man shot in Stikine Street home in Kitimat

Kitimat RCMP believe drugs are a factor in an incident from Dec. 4 at 1:30 a.m. where a man was found shot in the head at a home on Stikine Street.

The male was treated for minor injuries on the scene after police arrived to a home after receiving a report of a person being shot.

An arrest has been made in relation to this incident, RCMP say, and the alleged incident is believed to be a targeted shooting, as the victim and suspect know each other.

Through a news release, the local police believe drugs are a factor, and so far they have no reason to believe this is at all connected to a shooting on Fulmar Street from this past September.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the local RCMP at 250-632-7111 or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-8477.
