Kinsmen plan Christmas hayride
THIS may be the second year in a row an attempt to have a Christmas parade in downtown has failed, but it will be the second year local Kinsmen are playing a hayride.
"We are marshalling at the [provincial] liquor store between 6 and 6:30 [tomorrow night] and will end up at the park for the festival of lights," writes Kinsman Adam Kirkwood in an email this morning.
"We would love for whoever wants to help us sing and block traffic to join us. The more the merrier."
Just yesterday the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce canceled a planned Christmas parade when too few entries were received.
The same happened last year and that's when the Kinsmen stepped in with a hayride.
The Festival of Lights at George Little Park is a family event beginning at 6 p.n. and lasting until 8 p.m.
