Ferndale Inmate dies

A Ferndale Institution inmate died of apparent natural causes at Abbotsford Regional Hospital Nov. 10.
Gordon Pawliw, 65, was a third-time federal offender serving a life sentence for first degree murder and conspire to commit an indictable offence. His sentence started April 26, 1985.
Next of kin have been notified.
As in all cases where an individual dies while in custody, the police and coroner have been notified.
