Grass fire in Dallas snuffed out
A grass fire in Dallas, near the Lafarge plant in east Kamloops, had firefighters busy on the Tuesday, Aug. 21.
The fire started at about 10:30 a.m. and grew to about four hectares in size.
It was attacked from the air and on the ground before being brought under control in early afternoon.
While the flames did come to within about 120 metres of a home, there were no buildings damaged and no injuries reported.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
