CVRD launches Zero Waste Challenge this weekend

You said you wanted Cowichan to be a Zero Waste community.

Saturday, the CVRD opens the discussion on how we can get there.

The regional district launches its Zero Waste Challenge with a community event this Saturday at the Bings Creek Recycling Depot.

An open house will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The public is invited to tour the facility and learn about the Zero Waste Challenge, as well as how to produce less waste at home, school and work.

This free event includes free compost material (bring a bucket), kids games, refreshments, door prizes and other special give-a-ways.
