CrimeStoppers launch fundraising campaign

Mar1011pictopia17.jpg

South Okanagan Similkameen Crime Stoppers is embarking on it’s annual Coupon Fundraising Awareness campaign throughout the entire South Okanagan - Similkameen.  Over the next six weeks,  a door to door campaign will be conducted by Rocky Mountain Marketing canvassers representing our Crime Stoppers program.  They will be wearing yellow jackets with a Rocky Mountain Marketing logo as well as a Crime Stoppers logo and will have photo identification tags around their necks.

This is one of two fundraisers that Crime Stoppers conducts throughout the year as we are a community based registered charity and must raise our own operating funds as we do not receive government money or money from any police budget.

Crime Stoppers continues to enjoy a successful track record of gathering anonymous information on crimes committed in our service area and helping keep our communities safe because of your support.

We would like to thank all past supporters of this fundraising awareness event and will appreciate all of the financial assistance from this campaign.  Our percentage of the monies generated from the coupons will go to paying our tipsters, answering our telephones 24 hours a day - 365 days of the year, training our volunteers with a small amount going to administration as Crime Stoppers is run by volunteers.  For more information on your Crime Stoppers program, please visit our website www.southokanagancrimestoppers.ca

Should you have any questions or concerns about this campaign please do not hesitate to contact our Coordinator, Al Sismey, at 250 770-4721 or email soscs@vip.net.  Remember………  “WE DON’T WANT YOUR NAME – JUST YOUR INFO”
