White Rock is starting a 50-plus cycling club.

The cycling club will be non-competitive and is ideal for those who wish to ride with others of similar ages and capabilities.

Rides around White Rock and the Lower Mainland will be organized on a regular basis.

The next meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kent Street auditorium.

All cyclists are welcome at the meeting, and the club is looking for volunteers to help organize.

Local lawyer Al Benson will be at the Kent Street Activity Centre on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 9:30 a.m. to help seniors on low income with legal queries and problems.

Visits at the centre are free of charge; the usual lawyer’s fee will be charged for any additional visits away from the centre or when any legal work is done.

No appointment is necessary as clients are seen on a first come, first served basis.

Tickets are still available for the centre’s Mistletoe Dinner on Thursday, Dec. 3.

A delicious Christmas dinner will be served followed by entertainment.

Please bring a non-perishable donation for the White Rock food bank.

Advance ticket sales only – sorry, no tickets will be available at the door.

Watch for the White Rock Winter Leisure Services guide delivered in the Peace Arch News Dec. 2.

The new guide will also be available for pick up at the Kent Street Activity Centre, Centennial Park Leisure Centre or the White Rock Community Centre.

Online and in-person registration begins Dec. 3.

To register online, you will need a client ID, family PIN and valid credit card. Visit the website at www.webreg.city.whiterock.bc.ca to view all the programs offered.
