Safe ride recipe

Rudy from Operation Red Nose and Lawrence Benjamin, Delta Gymnastics Society’s board chair, get a nice warm treat in the form of hot mulled cider which is the perfect way for a designated driver to enjoy something special when they are celebrating the season. But if you’re keen on adding that something extra to your beverage and need a ride home, Rudy and his friends at Operation Red Nose can pick you up in your own car and delivery you right to your door. Call 1-877-604-NOSE to book a ride.

It’s that time of year again and our favourite reindeer and his friends at Operation Red Nose who keep holiday party goers safe and sound with rides home in their own cars is back in town.

And in keeping with the season of celebration, Rudy has a great non alcoholic drink recipe for all of those designated drivers.

Look for more liquor-free recipes from Rudy’s friends over the next four weeks in the South Delta Leader’s Local Flavour section.

To kick things off is one of Rudy’s favourite snacks—apples. Only this time, he is enjoying it as a mulled cider that keeps him warm while he picks up people and their vehicles from their parties and events.

He would like to remind everyone to make the best of the holidays by not drinking and driving. Choose Operation Red Nose as an alternative way to return home on Nov. 27, 28, Dec. 4, 5, 11, 12 ,18, 19 and New Year’s Eve. Enjoy your party and arrive home safely.
