Students at Holy Cross Region High School have painted a mammoth mural on their school after winning a contest through the World Wildlife Fund.

Students from the school's Art 12 class had submitted a video showcasing their environmental efforts, which include recycling, shoreline cleanups, invasive species removals/plantings, and involvement with BC Hydro Energy Ambassador Program, the City of Surrey's RETHINK Waste program and BC Science World's Green Games.
