The fourth annual Afternoon in Paradiso fundraiser for the B.C. Cancer Foundation takes place Sunday, Sept. 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Paradiso Vineyard and Phoenix Lounge. It includes wine and food sampling, auctions and entertainment. The Abby Dads Program offers a free four-week anger awareness group, starting Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Services (2420 Montrose Ave.). The program is open to dads struggling with anger and frustration. Topics covered include self-esteem, relationships, conflict resolution, and anger beliefs. On Wednesday, Sept. 11 the Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) of Abbotsford will host its monthly luncheon at the Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Rd., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This month’s guest speaker will be Judith Guichon, Lt. Governor of B.C.
