Free transit on New Year's Eve

BC Transit, the City of Abbotsford and District of Mission are getting into the holiday spirit with a discounted Shopper Daypass for most of the month of December and with free rides on New Year’s Eve after 6 p.m.

Shopper Daypass are available now until Dec. 31.  Adult passes are $3.50 a day. Students and seniors will pay $3.

BC Transit encourages everyone to make the safe and smart choice to ride transit on New Year’s Eve. Free rides will be offered on Dec. 31 from 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Transit customers should be aware of some holiday schedule changes:

  • Dec. 24 – regular weekday schedule ending around 8 p.m.
  • Dec. 25 – Sunday schedule in Abbotsford* (no service in Mission)
  • Dec 26 – Sunday schedule in Abbotsford* (no service in Mission)
  • Dec. 31 – regular weekday schedule, plus free rides and extended hours from 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
  • Jan. 1 – Sunday schedule in Abbotsford* (no service in Mission)

*no service on route #31 Connector to Mission
