Teck Trail operation has resumed operation of the No. 2 Slag Fuming furnace as of July 12 following a recent fire that shut down the facility.
No one was injured by the fire that occurred on July 9 and the cause is still under investigation.
Temporary changes have been made to the furnace so that the investigation can continue while safely in operation.
Teck says the operations electronic waste recycling has resumed and, despite the nine day disruption, is on track to recycle 10,000 tonnes of electronic waste in 2009.
