The Trail RCMP were called to the Victoria St.bridge at 1:45 p.m. on Sept. 8 after a passing motorist noticed a body lying on the rocks near the Columbia River.
The person has been identified as Linda Raven Leach, 39, who had recently moved to Trail.
RCMP are not looking at foul play as there was no one else present, but said Leach fell to her death. It is unclear whether it was accidental or if she jumped. RCMP did say Raven had a history of mental health issues.
The coroner's office is continuing the investigation.
