The Salmo Valley Community Centre was host to the only Alternative Healing Expo in the Kootenay area Oct. 3 and 4.
The event brought experts and enthusiasts from all over B.C. and Alberta.
Attendance was better than last year to the two-day PATH (Promoting Alternative Therapeutic Healing) expo inviting the public to learn a little more about themselves and alternative healing methods in the world around them.
“It was great to see many new faces and more people coming out this year than last,” said organizer Laurie Sawatsky.
“So many things stuck out for me. I was thinking of taking a year off but I’m definitely going to be looking into next year’s show.”
Around 25 booths made up the expo hall with tables showing off psychic healing, aura and future readings, natural foods, aromatherapy and essential oils among many others and loads of knowledgeable experts on hand for any questions.
There were 15 speakers who offered intimate educational seminars in areas covering all types of spiritual and new wave healing options as well as a ‘breathtaking’ drumming meditation to close out the expo.
Putting Salmo on the alternative expo map, the PATH event is on its way to competing with other expos in major city centres as a draw for alternative healing devotees from all over Western Canada and the U.S.
