It’s commonly accepted that what kids learn today they carry into their adult lives.

Barbara Lindsay, an educator and regional director of Destination ImagiNation believes that to be true, especially when it comes to Destination ImagiNation.

“When you empower kids to do things, you have no idea what they can do. They learn lifelong skills which translate into opportunity when they are older,” Lindsay explained.

“Experts around the world agree that a country’s ability to innovate will be one of the key determinants of success in the 21st century. Being a world-class problem solver and innovator is going to help future generations of kids achieve success,” added Lindsay.

Destination ImagiNation, said Lindsay is where children can learn those crucial lifelong lessons. DI is equal opportunity in that every child who participates has a chance to expand on the skills and knowledge learned in school, but in a non-traditional way. Kids participate in teams of up to seven and compete against each other by solving challenges that even adults often find intimidating.

If you would like to participate in the program, call Lindsay at 250-355-2397.
