Rockets still only one point back for first in their division

The Golden Rockets lost a heartbreaker against the Spokane Braves on October 3.

Despite a good defensive game, the Rockets were unable to capitalize on goalie Cash Ulrich.

A truly entertaining game for fans, the Rockets looked solid battling the first place Braves. The Rockets allowed the Braves only 13 shots on the Golden net in 60 minutes, with overtime solving nothing.

Devon Dunlop came up as the last shooter for Golden and despite a great defensive effort in the game; he was unable to get past Ulrich.

Spencer Wong made some key saves in the game despite not being tested as often as the Spokane goalie.

The Rockets headed to Creston for a game on October 4 to battle for first place in their division. Unfortunately, the Rockets offence came up short resulting in a 7-4 loss to the Thundercats.

The Rockets play next weekend with a three game home stint battling the Revelstoke Grizzlies on October 10, the Kimberley Dynamiters on October 11 and the Fernie Ghostriders on October 12.
