Resident proud to be part of NDP

In response to ‘Kootenay, Columbia getting it done’, MP Report :
Mr. Abbott mentions in his submission that ‘as we work our way out of this worldwide recession my constituents give the Conservative government an A+.’ I am very involved with the communities in this riding, and I have never heard that. What I did hear at this month’s local ‘community networking’, is that unemployment is up again, to 9.1% in the Kootenays, (Canada wide it is 8.7%.)
Mr. Abbott also says that, ‘without exception, they, (the constituents), are angry with useless, counterproductive, dangerous, opportunistic election talk by the opposition coalition. My constituents give a massive F for failure to the Liberal-NDP-Bloc coalition.’ That is a lot of adjectives for something that does not exist – there is no coalition. Actually, the NDP helped the Conservatives, and were trying to be, as much as possible – reasonable. After discussion, and reasonably thinking about the E.I. measures, and without resorting to adjectives, they agreed with the Conservatives – taking appropriate wise steps. This actually avoided an election, for now.
Also, around the constituency, I cannot recall hearing the F word for the Liberals, NDP, or Bloc.
I am so proud to be part of the New Democrat Party. Name calling and slamming someone else is easy. It is much more difficult to come to a working solution. How are you, Mr. Abbott, working towards truthfully unifying our riding for the common good of all?
