On Saturday, July 25th, the week-long annual Willi Memorial Hang Gliding and Paragliding Competition began. After a beautiful flying day, strong winds approached from the south. Six paragliders could not reach the landing area in Nicholson. Soon Constable Knezacek arrived in Nicholson. Every pilot's position, but one, was reported by local residents. Everyone arrived back safely. The last pilot was helped by two Golden residents and was taken to the hospital - he is fine.

We would like to thank the Golden RCMP, Amy (manager at GEAR), and the local residents for their concern, help and support of the flying community meet directors.
