I am ready for the next challenge.
Starting on October 1, the gals that brought us the summer edition of the Boot Camp challenge will bring their second instalment of this popular challenge that saw those of us that did the summer session lose an average of five to ten pounds each and reduce our measurements by an average of eight inches!
The next session will include two formats including, the Full Challenge Member which includes unlimited access to 33 classes of Boot Camp and Step and the Boot Camp Challenge Member which gives you unlimited access to Boot Camp only. If that isn’t motivating enough, here’s some more incentive for people to join up for the fall session: There are only eight spots available for Full Challenge members, who must reserve a spot by emailing atp.fitness.co@gmail.com before Oct. 1. Payment can be made at class.
For those of you that are sitting on the fence about whether or not you can handle the workouts-let me just say this: I showed up to Boot Camp with an above average body fat, no real experience with working out and a lot of reservations as to how I would fare in the first challenge. For those of you that read my column after my first day at Boot Camp, I was not the ideal candidate as I could barely walk after my first day out. I am proud to say that I finished second in the challenge and I have never felt better!
I am in much better shape, I am eating better (though I do miss my daily bag of chips!) and I have already been wishing for the camp to start up again after having three weeks off.
The Boot Camp was great because their programs combine cardio, strength training, agility exercises (step class), circuit training (boot camp) and all classes have the option to participate with low or high intensity exercise options. I started off doing the lower intensity and by the end of the challenge I was running circles around my former self!
Whether or not you are interested in the challenge, Boot Camp and step class are two great ways to get yourself in shape and motivated to live a healthier lifestyle.
Working out doesn’t have to be the dreaded part of your day. Come out to Boot Camp or Step, bond with others and have a lot of fun getting fit and healthy!
