Spirit Square nears completion

The completion date of Spirit Square is expected for the first week of November.

To celebrate the project’s completion, Golden will welcome Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Bill Bennett to the opening, and to introduce residents to the new public space, Town of Golden staff are hoping to co-ordinate a community gathering.

The gathering will take place the afternoon of November 10, 2009. In a Town Staff report, Mag de Grace, Development Services Plan Intern, stated that the celebration will consist of live entertainment, food and beverages and a range of activities for all ages. The intent of the gathering is to familiarize people with the congregation area, to demonstrate the intended use of the community space and to celebrate its completion. A larger event will take place in the spring when the tiles are installed and the landscaping is completed.
