Kicking Horse builders clean up at the Keystone Awards

Two local builders come home with the top prize at the annual Canadian Homebuilders Association Central Interior Keystone Awards held in Kamloops, B.C. over the weekend (September 25-27). The annual event celebrates excellence in building and development and recognizes the top home builders and developers in the Central Interior. Ned Johnson and Rod Nadeau of Innovation Building Group (IBG) and Dave Ratzlaff of HR Pacific both came home with top honours in their respective categories totally three gold medals.
Innovation Building Group (IBG) won the gold medal in the category of “best resort development” for the Aspens at Kicking Horse project, a 60 unit multi-stack townhome project completed in July 2009. The Aspens beat out three other resort developments from around the province.
HR Pacific won two gold medals. Firstly, in the category of “best single family home with a build cost of over $799,000” HR Pacific won top honours with the Copper House, a new home completed in 2008 located in the Cache Residences area of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. HR Pacific also took home top prize in the category of “best single family home of over 3,000 sq. ft.” for the same property.
