Rocking the house

It was a frenzied weekend for the Revelstoke Curling Club as the club played host to its annual mixed-open Curling Bonspiel from Feb. 5-7. “It was a big, successful weekend for the curling club,” said organizer Barry Konkin. Sixteen teams took part, including two from out-of-town. Lloyd Keith’s rink emerged as winners in the A event, while Deannie Ottenbreit won the B event and Wes Colwell took the C event. Up next for the club is the Men’s bonspiel, which is being held from Mar. 5-7. Then, later that month, they are hosting the Okanagan Dominion Curling Club Championship, with the winner competing in the provincials, and potentially the nationals as well.
