Aquaducks place third at Okanagan regionals in Kamloops
The Revelstoke Aquaducks perform their first place team cheer in Kamloops on Sunday.

The Revelstoke Aquaducks swim club travelled to Kamloops on the weekend to for the Okanagan regional finals where the placed third out of nine teams, with many swimmers getting a pass to the upcoming provincial finals in Abbotsford from August 21–23.
In addition the success in the pool, including wins and new records, the team also took home the best team cheer award for their song and dance routine done to Michael Jackson’s Thriller.

“I feel like the meet overall was pretty successful. Saturday was really, really good for the team and we had a lot of good times—I think just about everybody was improving [and] getting best times.”
The Division 8 Girls Free Relay team of Rosemary Kelsall, Nadia Salon, Cynthia Pfeiffer and Emily Pfeiffer set a regional record in the 200 freestyle relay, 1:59.93. They set a new record of 1:59.23. “They have a good chance at doing well at provincials,” he said.
Cynthia Pfeiffer set a new meet record in the 100 metre backstroke of 1:11.23, but the record was soon toppled in another race later in the day.
Following the provincials, Hardeep and Pilla will be returning to university in September after the end of the summer season. Jacob Wallach - 100 Freestyle
Christina Hui - 100 Breaststroke
Beth Granstrom - 50 free, 50 breast, 100 free, 50 Back
Alana Brittin - 100 IM, 50 free, 50 breast, 100 Free
Kate Granstrom - 50 Breast
Rosemary Kelsall - 50 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Free
Nadia Salon - 50 Free, 100 Fly, 50 Fly, 100 Free
Gina Cinelli - 50 Breast
Josh Rota - 50 Fly, 100 Back, 100 Breast
Wiley Harder also qualified in the 50 free, 50 fly and 100 fly but will not be attending provincials.
