Hockey funding assistance available

Revelstoke History of Hockey wants to let families in the community know that funding assistance is available through the program for those struggling to meet the high costs of playing hockey.
Spokesperson Dennis Berarducci says the organization wanted to help out during these difficult times, and is encouraging those who may be experiencing difficulty to get in touch so they can discuss the situation.
Revelstoke History of Hockey maintains the hockey displays in the Revelstoke Forum and sells advertising space there to raise funds for various hockey related projects.
They have contributed to a number of projects recently, including installing seating at the Forum, putting defibrillators in the Forum and Revelstoke Community Centre as well as installing an extra door on the ice rink.
They also provided two $500 bursaries for 2009 RSS grads Kelsey Harder and Josh McKinney.
“We want to let these people know that the funds are available,” says Berarducci. “Give us a call and we will try to help out”
