The Nelson Select U13s just couldn't match the size and power of their Terrace counterparts in opening B.C. Provincial B Cup action July 2.

In the game, Nelson fell 4-1 to a strong Terrace side who scored two

early goals and then basically never looked back.

"They were just a better team," said head coach Scott Lewis. "They were more physical, they went to the ball and they won almost every ball."

Ryan Lewis brought Nelson to within one early in the second half when he converted on a penalty shot after a Terrace defender was called for a handball inside the penalty area.

However, despite some pressure following the goal, Nelson quickly found itself defending an aggressive attack from Terrace, who were able to add two more goals before the end of the match.
