Mountain Baby will soon be celebrating its 15 years in business and its 15 years as an integral part of the community. Some of you may remember when we first started in the tiny little sliver of a store on Ward St (now the back half of Central Bark) as Comfort and Joy. From that little store we grew into a space on Baker Street (where Pixie Candy is now) and then, in 2006 moved to our present large location and changed our name to Mountain Baby. We also developed a vibrant and successful online store, www.mountainbaby.com which sells to people around the world.
In reflecting on our growth and success we are touched by how many babies and young children we have gotten to know and love over the years. We feel privileged to have been (and continue to be) there to see them grow up, learn to sit, walk, talk, play with other children, learn to use our tiny toilet, and eventually, outgrow the store. We are always happy when a younger sibling is born as we get to be part of a family’s life for a few more years.
The children and families that we get to know have made Mountain Baby’s success possible. You have made us who we are. As part of our birthday celebration we would like to offer to the community a live photo montage of the babies and children we have known over the 15 years. We are asking those of you who ever shopped at Mountain Baby (Comfort and Joy) over the years to please send us photos of your children when they were “Mountain Baby Age”, and, if they’ve “moved on”, how they look now. We will display the montage in the store, on a large screen, on our birthday (November 14th) and it will be posted on our website as well.
Please e-mail your photos to craig@mountainbaby.com with the subject heading “Birthday Photos”. Include your children’s first name, their age in the pictures and the years they were taken.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
