Live from Nelson, it’s the CBC
CBC’s weekend morning show will be broadcast live from Nelson on Nov. 7 and 8.
The show’s host, Sheryl MacKay, is in town for the Oysters, Authors and Ales literary event at Mary Hall on Friday night, and rather than rush back to her Vancouver studio, arrangements have been made for her to do two remote shows.
Both of the live morning shows will heavily feature Nelson artists in a variety of genres, from fine arts to theatre.
On Saturday, the popular show will be broadcast for an audience in the Hume Room at the Hume Hotel and the public is welcome to come by, have a coffee and watch the making of the show.
Some of the guests for the show include Nelson actor Lucas Myers and author Anne Degace, plus plenty of great surprises.
On Sunday, MacKay will do a less public studio show at the Kootenay Co-op Radio station.
The shows will be broadcast on CBC Radio One from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
They’re also available as podcasts at cbc.ca/nxnw.
