Tarasoft wins bid

Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS), the largest multiple listing service in the Pacific Northwest, announced an extensive multi-year agreement with leading MLS software developer Tarasoft, based in Nelson, to offer its web-based MLS system Tarasoft Matrix® to NWMLS’ 28,000 subscribers. Matrix deployment and system cutover is scheduled for April 2010.

The decision to choose Tarasoft was finalized after NWMLS completed an extensive vendor evaluation process that spanned six months.

NWMLS president and CEO Tom Hurdelbrink said the comprehensive assessment demonstrated Tarasoft’s strength as an industry leader for large, forward-thinking multiple listing service providers.

“It became clear to us early on that Tarasoft Matrix represents the modern generation in MLS platforms,” he said.

“Its robust platform, speed and flexibility are unmatched. When combined with Tarasoft’s experience in working with many of the nation’s largest MLS providers, Tarasoft became the obvious choice in meeting both our current and future needs.”

Tarasoft Matrix is built entirely on Microsoft’s newest .NET platform and includes full Mac and integrated wireless support. Tarasoft designed Matrix to specifically address the demands of North America’s largest MLS providers. Offering unrivalled performance, scalability and customization, Matrix easily adapts to the unique and constantly changing demands of MLS members.

“This agreement with NWMLS is hugely exciting for us on many levels,” said Seain Conover, Tarasoft’s President.

“We have enjoyed a long and colorful history with NWMLS, dating back to our early desktop software days in the 1990’s. NWMLS’ rigorous review process prior to their ultimate selection of Matrix, lends credence to our extensive feature set, our flexibility and our customer care.

“We welcome the opportunity to work with NWMLS in such a high-tech marketplace as the Greater Seattle region.”
