ShareSwift Current crushes Ice 6-2

Ice trail Swift Current 3-1 after a second period that saw no scoring but plenty of fighting. Ice are without captain Dustin Sylvester and big d-man Joey Leach, who knocked out Bronco Reece Scarlett.
Cody Eakin scores Swifty's fourth goal as he controls the puck on the breakaway and puts the puck in the right hand corner past Mathews. For Eakin, the goal is his 23rd goal, assisted by Stickland and Joel Rogers.
Ice score on a deflected shot from centre by James Martin at 4:58 of the third. Martin assisted by Brendan Hurley and Elgin Pearce
The goal brings Kootenay to within two goals, 4-2, of Speedy Creek.
Swifty gets a power play opportunity as Elgin Pearce gets a tripping penalty.
Cody Eakin, with his second of the night, scores on a big rebound, after Eric Doyle shoots on the Ice net from the point. Swift Current goes up 5-2.
Brad Hoban hits the Ice net with a wrist shot from the corner for Swifty.
Mathews gets another penalty with for tripping for holding the Bronco player behind the net.
Brad Hoban of the Broncos makes the pass across the front of the net and finds Justin Dowling, who fires it in the open Ice net, as Mathews was caught on the far side of the net. Swift Current leads 6-2 midway through the third period.
And in comes Nathan Lieuwen and hes tested early as Taylor Vause just misses on another rebound.
Lieuwen makes a nice glove save as the Broncos go on the power play on a penalty for Martin.
Christian Magnus gets a chance on the penalty kill but Clark makes the easy save.
Ice starting to press - Boomer gets a chance in close but again the Ice are stopped.
Martin goes off for a cross check with under three minutes to go in the third period.
Czerwonka picks up a penalty for elbowing to put the Ice down two men.
Lieuwen makes a nice save on 25 from near the side of the net on the ensuing Bronco five on three.
Graeme Craig shoots from the point for Swift Current but Lieuwen again comes up with a big save. Jordan Peddle gets a tricky shot on net but Lieuwen handles the high arcing deflected shot.
