Regina comes from behind to beat Kootenay 3-2 in a shootout

Kootenay Ice head into the third period of tonight's game with Regina with a 2-1 lead on goals from Joey Leach and Kevin King.
Kevin King gets an early chance with a wrist shot that goes off the post and out of bounds.
Elgin Pearce is sent to the sin bin at 2:48 of the third period with a minor for hooking.
Andrew Rieder gets a nice shot of net for Regina, but Mathews turns the shot away.
Dominik Pacovsky is helped off the ice as he goes down awkwardly for the Ice.
Mathews is solid again as he stops a quick wrist shot by Regina's Garrett Mitchell.
Ice look to press to get some insurance. Czerwonka gets a nice snap shot on goal but the shot is stopped by
Two Matts get into a fight - Delahey of Regina and Fraser of Kootenay.
Delahey gets a ten minute misconduct and two minute instigator penalty, giving the Ice the powerplay.
Sylvester gets a nifty spinarama shot on goal, but Ketlo stops it for the Pats and the Ice are unable to corral the rebound.
King rattles one of the post as the Ice press but fail to score.
Pats tie the score up 2-2 on a tip from Kyle Mulder on a hard shot from the blue line by Colten Tuebert .
Ice get a power play chance on a dealy of game penalty to the Pats with four and a half minutes left in regulation.
Boomer picks up a penalty shortly after negating the Ice's man advantage.
Pats buzz around and get a couple of chances to go ahead but get nothing as one shot trickles past Mathews and behind the net.
King gets a nice wrist shot on net but Ketlo gets his glove on it for the save.
The Ice get a two on one on the penalty kill, but Antilla misses the net.
Ice turnover leads to a quick shot by Gustafsson in close for Regina, but Mathews gets the pads on it.
Sylvester gets a wrist shot in close with less than 15 seconds left, but it's blocked by several bodies.
Regulation ends with a 2-2 tie.
Kootenay and Regina head into overtime with four skaters apiece.
Brett Leffler of Regina gets the first good chance in o.t. for either team but Mathews makes the save.
Pats press but are unable to get a solid shot.
Gustafsson lets go a howitzer but he misses the net wide.
Weal wheels around with the puck but can't find a teammate for a good shot.
Overtime solves nothing as the teams remain at 2-2.
The teams head to a shoot. The zamboni driver entertains the crowd with a 180 at the blue line.
Jordan Eberle goes first for Regina. He goes for the deke but Mathews makes the save.
Dustin Sylvester goes first for Kootenay and misses the net entirely.
Jordan Weal is us next for the Pats. The crafty Weal looks to have got the deke past Mathews, but Todd kicks the net out for the save.
Max Reinhart scores the first shootout goal, coming in slowly and waiting until Ketlo goes down, before lifting it over the Pats' netminder.
Leffler counters for Regina, snapping the puck past Mathews.
Matt Fraser is next but is stopped by Ketlo.
Another Matt, Strueby finds the five hole to give the Pats a 2-1 edge in the shootout.
The fourth Ice shooter is Kevin King. King goes deke but is stopped by Ketlo for the Pats win.
Regina wins 3-2 in overtime.
