Seven goals from seven scorers propels Ice to 7-1 win over Tri-City

Kootenay Ice got seven goals from seven different players as they pounded the Tri-City Americans 7-1 at the RecPlex.

Ice head into the third with a commanding 4-1 lead over Tri-City.

Kootenay buzz around the American's net as the Ice try to score during "Big Mac minute", where everyone in attendance gets a free big mac if the home team scores.

Sylvester feeds King heading to the net but Martyniuk manages to keep the puck.

The next play, Ryan Molle shoots from the blue line. The puck trickles past Martyniuk and Steele Boomer knocks it in to give the Ice a 5-1 lead.

Tri-City picks up their play and forces some pressure on Mathews, but the Ice keep the Americans at bay.

Brock Sutherland tests Mathews with a hard shot from the point, but the Ice goalie stands his ground and makes the solid save

Kevin King scores on a two on one with Dustin Sylvester to put the Ice up 6-1 at the 7:16 mark of the third period. King's shot, a backhand, was his seventh of the season. Sylvester picked up the assist with a sweet centering pass.

Ice go up 7-1 a short time later as Max Reinhart scores on a breakaway with a nifty deke.

Ismond and Magnus had a chance a minute later on another two on one, but Ismond slipped on the ice.

Ice continue to do a strong job of back checking in the third period.

Teams play four on four as Reddick of the Yanks and Fraser of the Ice go off for two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Ice put pressure on for four on four but don't score.

Ice forward Matt Fraser dives to block a shot from Tri-City defenceman Jarrett Toll.

Tri-City's Kruise Reddick and Kootenay's Fraser and Drew Czerwonka all get two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct with three and a half minutes left, giving Tri-City a man advantage.

Game turns chippy in last minute as Ice just try to finish off the game.
