Ice find themselves down 3-0 after giving up two late goals in the second period short handed.
A minute and a half in and Ice d-man Petr Senkerik gets a routine shot from the point that deflects off a few bodies and hits the net. Heemskerk, however, keeps it out.
Ice finally score at 3:13 mark of the third period, as Matt Fraser blasts one past Heemskerk to bring Kootenay within two, 3-1. Fraser is assisted by Steele Boomer and Kevin King.
Fraser and Boomer combine to almost score again, but Boomer misses the net.
Rasmus Rissanen of Everett gets away with an apparent cross check as play gets more physical as the game near the midway point of the third period..
Silvertip winger Shane Harper almost dumps Ice defender Luke Paulsen into Everett's bench.
Reinhart makes a diving pass which sends the puck across the front of the net, but the Ice are unable to get a stick on it for the deflection.
Ice gets a power play with six minutes left but other than a relatively harmless shot from Dominik Pacovsky from the point, Kootenay gets nothing
Everett's Radko Gudas takes out Fraser with a low hip check that sends the Ice player spinning through the air with 3:11 left in the game. Fraser needs to be helped off the ice.
King gets another chance in close but is robbed by Heemskerk.
Rintoul gets a slapper from the blue line, but is also turned back by the Silvertip goalie.
Mathews makes a great save of his own with less than two minutes left as he robs Tyler Maxwell on a two on one.
Everett scores empty net goal at 18:54 to seal the 4-1 win. Harper scores the goal,his second of the evening, unassisted.
