Ice lost a tough one to division rival Calgary Hitmen 2-1. The Ice trailed 2-0 after two before scoring in the third to bring it within one.

The Ice finally got one past Hitmen netminder Snider at 3:18 of the third to cut the Calgary lead to 2-1. Kootenay's goal was scored by Petr Senkirk, with his first WHL goal, assisted by Kevin King and Brayden McNabb.
