Jeff Chynoweth, general manager of the Kootenay Ice Hockey Club, has announced the club’s four game exhibition schedule. The Ice will host one exhibition game on Wednesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. against the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Cranbrook Rec Plex.

Individual tickets for the home exhibition game are on sale at the Kootenay Ice Office. Ticket sale hours after today will be 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Ticket prices will be $9 for ages 13 and over and $6 for ages 12 and under, plus applicable ticket service charges.

The Drive 102.9 FM will provide period results for all four exhibition games. The Drive 102.9 FM will also broadcast all regular season and playoff games beginning with the Domino’s Pizza Magnetic Schedule Home Opener on Friday, September 18 versus Lethbridge. Tickets for the first three regular season games will go on sale Tuesday, September 8 at 10 a.m. Chynoweth also announced all proceeds from the 11th annual Blue-White Intrasquad game will once again be donated to the Cranbrook and Kimberley United Way.

The Blue-White game will be played at the Cranbrook Rec Plex on Sunday, August 30 at 3 p.m. The game will feature players who are competing to earn a spot on the 2009-2010 roster.

“We are continuing with the tradition of partnering with charitable organizations within our community. Over the past 10 years almost $21,000 has been raised for the Cranbrook United Way through this event,” said Chynoweth.

The cost to attend the Blue-White game will be a minimum donation to the Cranbrook and Kimberley United Way of $5 per person.
