ShareMount Baker girls win medals in tournaments

STAFF - The Mount Baker senior girls placed second in a tournament at William Aberhart High School in Calgary. The Wild girls lost in the final to the host Aberhart team, which is ranked in the top 10 in Alberta.
The girls finished with a five and one match record. Key players were Emma Jonsson, with her monster blocks, and Karleigh Maag for her strong defensive plays.
The junior girls volleyball team travelled to the West Kootenay and competed in their first tournament of the season at Mount Sentinel.
They were undefeated in their round-robin play and went on to beat the home team in an exciting final to win the tournament. Next weekend the girls are off to Calgary for a tournament.
