The College of the Rockies men's golf team finished 9th at the BC College Association Tournament in Langley. The event took place at the Redwoods Golf Course and was hosted by Kwantlen Polytechnical University.
Jamie Curiston was again COTR's top golfer with a two round score of 171. The newest team member, Kyle Touzin, won the long drive contest on the first day.
Touzin, a Cranbrook native, joined the team after the first weekend and has fit in quite well.
The Avalanche play their last tournament this weekend at the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club.
Coach Trevor Simpkins is glad to have all five players travelling to the Chilliwack tournament, which will be hosted by the University of the Fraser Valley.
"It'll be nice to have five players finally. It'll take the pressure of some our guys. We also have a few guys that are familiar with the course so that should help."
The event will be the last of the season for the golf team.
