East Kootenay communities to host H1N1/Seasonal flu clinics
Interior Health running H1N1/Seasonl flu immunization clinics throughout the region

Several communities in the East Kootenay will be holding combined H1N1/Seasonal Immunization clinics the first week of November.
The Baker Street Mall (formerly Cranbrook Mall) will be the location for the
H1N1/Seasonal Immunization Clinic in Cranbrook on Nov. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The clinic in Fernie will be held at Max Turyk School at 44 Mt. Washburn Street on Monday, Nov. 2 from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
In Golden, the clinic will be held at the Golden Senior's Centre at 1401-9th Street South on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Invermere's clinic will run on Friday, Nov. 6 at the Invermere Community Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The clinic in Kimberley will be held at the Centennial Centre on 100 4th Avenue on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Those eligible for the clinics are: pregnant women in the second half of pregnancy; persons under age 65 with chronic conditions; children 6 - 59 months of age; household contacts and care providers of infants under six months of age; household contacts and care providers of persons who are immunocompromised; persons residing in rural and remote communities, including the Aborginal population; and health care workers involved in responding to pandemic influenza.
"We will be opening clinics to the general public starting on Nov. 9," said Lannea Parfitt, public health communications for Interior Health.
