The driver of a motorcycle involved in a two-vehicle collision died Friday at Foothills Hospital in Calgary due to complications from a massive head injury.

According to police, the collision happened in the early afternoon on Wednesday, June 24.

Colin Adachi, a resident of Cranbrook, was in the process of turning left from the acceleration lane of Cranbrook Street North when a white mini-van, making a let-hand turn onto Cranbrook Street North from the Tamarack Mall parking lot, struck the motorcycle.

The 38-year-old Adachi was taken to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital before being air lifted to the Foothills Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on June 26.
